Daniel H. Kennedy, III, serves as the managing partner of Kennedy Luce LLC, leading the firm’s offices in Rocky Hill, Greenwich, and Monroe. He is known for delivering clear, strategic guidance to clients, no matter how complex or high stakes the situation is. Mr. Kennedy has advised entrepreneurs, public figures, executives, attorneys, finance professionals, and families on issues including high-net-worth matrimonial litigation, serious personal injury matters, real estate matters, business guidance and confidential dispute resolution. Dan also serves as outside general counsel to privately held companies and emerging businesses. Early in his career, he practiced in San Francisco, California, where he handled complex business litigation.

As a trusted and experienced voice in the legal community, Dan has appeared as a legal commentator for multiple media outlets, including Fox News CT. His expertise and professionalism earned recognition from the Hartford Business Journal, where, at the age of 32, he was the recipient of its 40 Under 40 award. He has also been honored by Super Lawyers magazine, as a Rising Star --an award given to fewer than 2.5% of attorneys under 40-- from 2010 through 2017. and subsequently, as a Super Lawyer--a distinction awarded to less than 5% of attorneys in Connecticut-- every year from 2018 through 2025.

Mr. Kennedy is a graduate of Georgetown University, where he earned his BA, and was a member of Georgetown’s Division I Golf Team. He went on to Santa Clara University School of Law, where he was the recipient of a highly competitive academic scholarship. Dan is admitted to practice in New York, Connecticut, and Illinois.

In addition to his legal practice, Dan has contributed to numerous boards and community organizations, including the Bushnell Park Foundation and the Hartford Hospital Young Leaders Advisory Board. He is the Past President of the Georgetown University Alumni Club of Connecticut and is an active member of the New York State Bar Association, Connecticut Bar Association, and Illinois State Bar Association.
