Daniel H. Kennedy, Jr
Daniel H. Kennedy, Jr., is a founding member of Kennedy Luce LLC and currently serves as Of Counsel to the firm. A respected litigator with more than five decades of experience, he has represented clients before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit, the Connecticut Supreme Court, the Connecticut Appellate Court, the Connecticut Superior Court, numerous Probate Courts, and various state and local agencies. He has been a member of the firm and its predecessor firms since 1973.
Throughout his career, Attorney Kennedy has practiced across a wide range of legal disciplines, including family law, business law, personal injury, real estate, zoning, municipal law, and civil litigation. His breadth of experience has made him a trusted advisor to individuals, families, and businesses facing complex legal challenges.
Today, Attorney Kennedy focuses primarily on matrimonial and family law. He is deeply involved in family law litigation and appellate matters and has extensive experience guiding clients through dissolution, legal separation, prenuptial agreements, post‑judgment issues, and mediation. As a Special Master in the Connecticut Superior Court system, he has played a significant role in resolving dissolution cases. He also serves as a private mediator, helping parties resolve family matters through a balanced and constructive process.
In addition to his family law practice, Attorney Kennedy has substantial experience in Probate Court litigation, including will contests, conservatorship matters, power-of-attorney accountings, breach-of-fiduciary-duty claims, and disputes involving inheritance rights. His work also includes representing clients in Probate Court appeals to the Connecticut Superior Court.
